How can IoT technology vendors can successfully market and sell to buyers?”

Almost daily we hear new stories about considerations for IoT—whether it’s how to make IoT safer and secure, how to make IoT deployments greener and more sustainable, or how to ensure devices and businesses are fully connected so they can truly benefit from business transformation and the IoT dream.

One thing is clear from these stories—the connected living era is very much upon us, and IoT buyers are actively looking for technology partners to be able to realise the potential of IoT.

But while the opportunities for technology partners is there, knowing how to access them is more of a challenge. For most tech vendors, knowing how to reach their customers effectively using marketing can be a minefield; our research shows that buying behaviours differ considerably depending on the category that IoT buyers serve, be they end user organisations, OEM organisations, or app developers and systems integrators. With more and more marketing communications channels and options to choose from, which ones should they prioritise to ensure they are seen by their potential IoT customers, and most importantly, get onto buyer RFPs?

On Wednesday 9th February, CCgroup and Transforma Insights will host a webinar discussing how IoT technology vendors can ensure they are marketing effectively to ensure they are seen by IoT buyers, and considered as part of the IoT buying process.

The webinar will discuss findings from our latest research report, “How can IoT technology vendors can successfully market and sell to buyers?”.

It will be hosted by myself, Chloe Pope, Head of IoT at CCgroup, Duncan McKean, Head of Deep Tech at CCgroup, and Matt Hatton, Founding Partner at Transforma Insights, and will discuss:

  • The most influential marketing channels and content types for awareness of and selection of IoT technology vendors
  • An overview of the different buying journeys for different types of IoT buyers
  • Vendor selection criteria—how to buyers pick their partners?
  • How is buying behaviour evolving and what new commercial models are emerging?

The webinar will take place on Wednesday 9th February at 16:00 GMT / 11:00 EDT / 08:00 PDT.
